Occupy London

Photographs from the birth of the occupy movement in London with the Democracy Village in Parliament Square opposite the Houses of Parliament which initially supported Brian Haw’s one-man protest against the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, but expanded to protest austerity measures by the then Labour government. After the election of a coalition government in 2010 came the protests and occupations including St Paul’s Cathedral as protestors from various backgrounds, causes and political believes were labelled under the banner of Occupy.
